Like most quests in Archosaur, this was originally offered at a much lower level (23)
The Elder Tortoise always was a bit difficult, but is now quite impossible for characters of the quest level. It has more than 1200 Physical attack, almost five times as much as Farng, and almost as much as the level 45 superboss Suzerix, Adalwolf Elder. Might as well skip this if you are after the XP, and do not have access to help from higher level characters
Even if you are wanting to enjoy the story, you might have to trash the quest and would not get the end of the tale.
